ANC 2E usually meets on the First Tuesday of the month at:

What Happens at a Meeting?

The ANC meets monthly to consider matters before the Commission which may include but not be limited to consideration of actions or proposed actions of the Council of the District of Columbia, the Executive Branch or any independent agency, board, or commission and recommendations thereof. ANC2E meetings start with administrative matters and community comment, followed by new business.

Administrative matters are items which are necessary for the commission to function and can include:

  • Approval of Minutes
  • Approval of ANC Quarterly Reports
  • Nominations/Approval of Commission Officers
  • Community Commendations

Community Comment is when residents are invited to speak their concerns about any issues before the commission and can include:

  • Police Reports
  • Community Issues (e.g. parking)
  • Community Events

New Business are items which require commission approval and can include:

  • Special Items - including approval of large events or use of public space
  • Zoning and Planning - ANC hears projects and provides comments to the reviewing agencies, including the Old Georgetown Board, the Board of Zoning Adjustment and the Zoning Commission.
  • ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Control) Matters - license renewals and substantial changes to establishments holding DC liquor licenses
