NOTICE: Traffic and Bus Detours in Georgetown for Thursday, June 14th

Hello neighbors,
I wanted to pass along some information regarding traffic and bus detours that will affect anyone traveling through Georgetown today (Thursday, June 14th).
Due to movie filming that is taking place in Georgetown, Wisconsin Avenue NW between K Street and Volta Place will be closed for a majority of the day, including portions of both the morning and evening rush hours. A map that provides an overview of the closures, as well as the traffic detour plan, can be found here.
Please note that the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) has announced that service on the DC Circulator's Georgetown - Union Station route will be discontinued west of Washington Circle until 4:00 pm, and that after 4:00 pm the Circulator will not service the route's lower K Street NW stops until closing. More information regarding the Circulator detours can be found here.
Additionally, the Washington Area Metropolitan Transit Authority (WMATA) has announced a series of Metrobus detours for many of the routes that travel through Georgetown, including routes 30N, 30S, 31, 33 and G2. More information regarding the Metrobus detours can be found here.
Lastly, please note that Metrobus routes 38B, D1, D2, D5, and D6, as well as the Circulator's Rosslyn - Dupont Circle route, should not be affected by the detours, however bus delays may still take place.
Sincerely,
Peter Sacco
