Volta Park Market

The Volta Park Market, a weekly, seasonal event operated by the Friends of Volta Park volunteer community organization. Our goal is to provide the Georgetown community with a variety of fresh produce and prepared foods from local farmers and purveyors.

Georgetown House Tour

Since 1931, St. John’s Episcopal Church has organized and hosted the Georgetown House Tour to raise funds for ministry and outreach. From day one, the House Tour has been an important part of enabling the mission of St. John’s in the greater Georgetown community, raising funds for ministry and outreach. Each year the Georgetown House Tour features a number of Georgetown’s most beautiful homes. Houses are within easy walking distance and can be visited at your own pace and in your preferred order.

Jackson Art Center Spring Open Studios

Jackson artists open their doors for the first time since 2019 for a free day of art both inside and outside the historic Jackson School located at 3050 R Street NW. Explore, meet and greet the artists, and take home some fabulous original art.

Citizens Association of Georgetown's Earth Day Celebration

Join us for an Earth Day worth celebrating with a neighborhood clean-up and scavenger hunt, presentations by The Georgetown Garden Club, who will be sharing information about native species, and Trees for Georgetown will be sharing information on climate change. Casey & Co will be selling annuals, perennials, herbs, and mulch. Little ones will have a chance to 'Make and Take' a flower pot and plant some seeds. Bring your own plant for a plant swap! Enjoy live music and everyone is welcome! Come out to change the world!

Georgetown French Market

Our annual Georgetown French Market is a popular open-air market – originally inspired by the outdoor markets in France – that has become a celebrated tradition in DC, and one of the biggest shopping events of the year for our small businesses of Book Hill. More than 25 local boutiques, antique stores, restaurants, salons and galleries display their discounted wares. Neighborhood restaurants also offer food and drink specials. On Saturday and Sunday, the French Market also features live music, a caricature artist, roaming stilt-walkers, and more.

Historically, each spring, members of our community who care about Volta Park come together for its most important fundraiser of the year. Guests enjoy cocktails and appetizers while they bid on luxury items, gift certificates for dining and hotel experiences, vacations, and more, all donated by generous businesses and friends in our community. For the return of this fantastic party in 2022, we will feature a raffle and live entertainment.
